Nursing Philosophy

My philosophy of nursing is what I call the “selfish, selfless philosophy”. Based on the Latin phrase, Nemo dat quod non habet, meaning “No one can give what they do not have”, the idea is that you must take care of your own mental, physical, and emotional health first to provide the best possible care to others.

Career Goals

What inspired me to pursue a career in nursing was the level of care and compassion that I witnessed from nursing staff towards close family members battling cancer.
Because of this, my goal is to work in cancer care where I can bring that same level of compassion to others.
